Your skin is always sloughing off dead cells and that is usually what makes your skin look dull and darker. Scrub it off and the new skin emerges, making you glow. But it is important that your body scrub has the right ingredients to help you exfoliate without leaving your skin too dry. And also that your exfoliator helps smoothen skin. Coffee is our chief ingredient and it boosts collagen levels and reduces the premature ageing of skin. Cocoa butter and moisturising oils then help smoothen skin.
Skin is always regenerating itself. Unfortunately, as we age, the pace of regeneration slows down. What also slows down is the body’s ability to shed dead skin. ... Thus the dead skin piles up on top of the new skin, making it look rough, dull and dry. These dead cells can lead to excess oil and clogged pores, causing ungainly skin blemishes. Not an ideal situation. What we can do is give the natural process a hand by helping it with the shedding - with exfoliation. This manually removes the layer of dead cells and reveals the new cells beneath - giving you a fine, post-scrub glow. To add to this, it opens up the pores allowing hydrating ingredients penetrate deep under the skin and work their magic. We would, not surprisingly, recommend natural exfoliants as opposed to chemical ones, especially if you have sensitive skin. We have also been careful to choose an exfoliant with the right amount of grit so that the exercise soothes and does not irritate your skin. We also request you to be gentle with the scrub on your skin. Think massage and not 'scrub'. Also, we recommend exfoliation once a week. Over-exfoliation might just leave you with irritated skin.
